Our rural heritage is a treasure of immeasurable worth - one that is yours to enjoy, to share, and to protect for future generations. We invite you to become a member of the Friends of Howell Living History Farm and to join the effort to preserve one of history's jewels - a 200 year old family farm nestled in a pristine, rural valley.

The Friends of Howell Living History Farm is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization which lends support and assistance to the Mercer County Park Commission in its operation of the Farm as a public park and educational facility.

In keeping with this mission, the Friends offer the Farm program support, funding for research and restoration projects, and extensive volunteer services. The Friends also provide the Farm staff and the Park Commission expertise in areas of master planning, collections care, public relations and staff development.

The Friends organization is governed by an elected board of trustees.

The Friends publishes a quarterly newsletter, The Furrow. Selected articles from The Furrow are available on this website.
