The Hatchery - REGISTRATION PAUSED
9:30a.m. – 12:30p.m.
Designed to introduce preschool-aged children to life on the farm, the Howell Farm Hatchery program meets one morning a week for 12 weeks. During each session, a teacher works with children to care for the animals at Howell Farm. Activities may include collecting eggs, watering the sheep, making feed for the pigs, and exploring the farm. Snack time, a craft, and a story are all in a day’s work!
Parents, grandparents, or nannies volunteer on the farm while their child is in class, helping the staff with projects or with programs for visiting school groups or families. One adult must volunteer for each child enrolled in the program.
Hatchery programs run one day per week—either Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays—from 9:30-12:30. Children must be 3-5 years old and potty-trained, and a $60 fee will be due with each application – which may be paid by check to “Howell Living History Farm.” For more information, please contact Christine Madzy at 609-737-3299 or email@example.com.
