Howell Farm's Ian Ferry with Belgians Jack and Chester competed in the match.

In between the morning plowing contest and the afternoon obstacle course Mary became the bride of contestant Charles Napravnik of Asbury, New Jersey in a ceremony on the front lawn of the Howell Farm farmhouse.
Aaron Vastine also won the afternoon obstacle course. Here his Clydesdales, Duke and Lady negotiate one of the complex obstacles.
Dan Ruth who placed third is shown entering one of the new obstacles this year.
Pat Hlubik of New Egypt, New Jersey negotiates this particularly difficult obstacle. Pat placed second in this event.
The Howell Farm ox team of Jake and Chris also took a shot at this difficult course led by Howell Farm's Rob Flory.
Duke and Lady sprint to the finish of the obstacle course with the overall winning combination of time, steadiness, and number of faults. Plan to join us for the 2010 Plowing Match next year. |
