Howell Farm is currently closed to visitors, but the spring work continues! Below you’ll find photo and video updates on corn planting, sheep shearing, and other projects happening around the farm.

We look forward to reopening as soon as possible, but in the meantime please remember that hiking, biking, and horseback riding through the farm—including on Hunter Road—are prohibited.

For the latest information on current park access and future reopenings, please visit mercercountyparks.org. Thanks for checking in – we hope to invite you back soon!

Fall Hayrides & Barn Auction

Saturday, October 10    10:00am–4:00pm

Climb aboard a hay wagon for a ride along farm lanes bordered by snake fences, osage orange hedgerows and colorful maple trees...before taking a walk through the barnyard or stopping at the visitor center for a cup of hot chocolate. Fall colors on the farm, nearby Baldpate Mountain, and throughout Pleasant Valley will be at their finest, so bring your camera!

Barn Auction

During this fun, fundraising auction you can bid on and win items the old-fashioned way...live! All proceeds are used to buy furnishings for the farm's historic houses and school. Items donated to past auctions have included antique tools, books, household items, baked goods, event tickets, and gift certificates.
