Depending on what the Groundhog finds when the sun comes up, farmers will hitch up the horses and take visitors for a sleigh ride or hayride through scenic Pleasant Valley. During a special Groundhog Day storytelling program inside the barn (11:30 and 1:30), children can also enjoy tales about groundhogs and other animals often seen on the farm. Outside activities include firewood cutting, rail splitting and, if conditions permit, a continuation of ice harvesting operations.
